About Elwood Soccer Club

Building Community Through the Love of the Game

Elwood Soccer Club is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing players, families, and neighbors together through soccer. Based in Elwood, New York, our club provides a positive, supportive environment where boys and girls ages 3 and up can learn, grow, and have fun while developing a lifelong passion for the game.

We’re proud to call BOCES Field on Little Plains Road in Huntington, NY and Harley Avenue School in East Northport our home fields — where our teams practice, play, and build memories every season.

For decades, Elwood Soccer has been a place where friendships are formed, teamwork is learned, and community pride is built — one goal at a time.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple:
To promote youth development, sportsmanship, and teamwork through the game of soccer. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to play, learn, and succeed in a safe, fun, and encouraging atmosphere.

We strive to instill values of respect, integrity, and effort — on and off the field — while helping each player reach their potential, whether they’re just starting out or competing at higher levels.

Programs for Every Player

Elwood Soccer Club offers programs for players at every stage:

  • Peewee (Ages 3–6): A fun and active introduction to soccer, focusing on coordination, motor skills, and a love of play.

  • Intramural: Recreational soccer emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development in a supportive community setting.

  • Travel: Competitive teams that represent Elwood across Long Island, offering advanced training and higher levels of competition.

Each program is guided by dedicated volunteer coaches who share a passion for youth development and the joy of the game.

Our Coaches & Volunteers

Our coaches, administrators, and board members are parents and community members who volunteer their time to ensure every season is well-organized, safe, and fun.

We also rely on volunteers — parents, alumni, and local supporters — to make each season a success. From field setup to fundraising events, our volunteers are the heart of our club.

Community and Sportsmanship

Elwood Soccer Club is more than just a place to play — it’s a community built on shared values: respect, teamwork, and pride in representing our hometown. Whether cheering from the sidelines at BOCES or celebrating after a match at Harley Avenue, our families help make the Elwood Soccer experience something special.

We encourage every player to play hard, play fair, and support one another, because the lessons learned on the field carry far beyond the game.
